USCG Captains License and Endorsements Training and Sailing Programs in Pensacola and Punta Gorda in Florida
Safe Passage Maritime offers United States Coast Guard approved Captains licensing and endorsement courses in Pensacola and Punta Gorda in Florida. The courses and all of material have been approved by the USCG as an alternative to the testing process at the USCG Regional Examination Center. After you have completed your class you take your test in the classroom.
All of USCG courses include USCG approved course instructional material and all charts and plotting tools necessary.
Safe Passage Maritime also offers sailing classes and instruction in partnership with NauticEd as well. You can choose from many multi-media online classes to learn the theory.
You can complete these courses at home or anywhere you have online access and Safe Passage Maritime will help you apply this theory on the boat in a practical setting.
Training Programs
USCG Approved Captains Programs
- OUPV or Six Pack: OUPV stands for Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel. This license allows Captains to operate vessels of less than 100 gross tons carrying up to six passengers for hire plus crew. OUPV Vessels are normally fishing, SCUBA diving, tour vessels.
- Masters Upgrade 25, 50 or 100 Gross Ton: he Masters upgrade course that allows qualified Captains a way to upgrade to a Masters License. A Master license allows you to operate Uninspected and Inspected vessels. Inspected vessels are licensed to carry more than six passengers and must be built in compliance with the stringent USCG Commercial Vessel Inspection standards.
- Auxiliary Sail Endorsement: This course is an endorsement for your 25-100 Ton Masters. This endorsement will allow you to operate an inspected sailing vessel.
- Assistance Towing Endorsement: This course is an endorsement that allows you to offer Assistance Towing. This would be the type of towing offered by towing companies like Seatow and Towboat US. This endorsement offered only in-class.
